Most resumes suck, and that’s what I’m trying to fix next.
In my experience of building
@nextdoorcohq for the last 8 months. A general pattern that I’ve seen is most candidates who are using the platform, their resumes are all over the place.
Candidates:
- don’t put out the right context for the hiring manager.
- They do not cross-check the typos.
- The resumes do not have proper layout.
- And then general stuff like the links are missing, basic stuff, right?
Hence, I’m speaking to a few veteran recruiter friends and candidates who have been active very recently and collecting feedback and data on if they have used any resume builder or when they look at others’ resumes, how do they feel?
So if you’re somebody who has used a resume builder recently or you go through resumes on an average every day, I would love to talk to you.
Either you can reach out to me on DMs or just drop your experience with resumes in the past or ongoing in the comments below.
I don’t want to build another software for resume. I want to build it so that it feels human, it feels that it’s designed for you. It works for you, and is not just another resume builder.
More updates soon. Building this in the latest
