Inngest is agent infrastructure that lives in your codebase. We know the "right" way to build agents changes every other month. If you're constantly rearchitecting to fit some system that only exists to keep code running... you're in for a bad time. Inngest moves orchestration into your codebase so you get durability and observability by default. No separate workers, queues, or instrumentation. No need to rebuild every time something changes (and it will). New brand. New website. 𝘚𝘪𝘤𝘬 𝘪𝘯𝘴𝘵𝘳𝘶𝘮𝘦𝘯𝘵𝘢𝘭𝘴 𝘰𝘯 𝘵𝘩𝘪𝘴 𝘯𝘦𝘸 𝘷𝘪𝘥𝘦𝘰. Same place to make production workflows and agents durable by default. And a lot more on the way...

Every run leaves a mark. So for our rebrand, we turned that data into art! We created custom prints for a few customers based on their unique footprint in Inngest: → first run date → events sent → functions run A small memento for the teams building with us. Turns out durable execution makes pretty sweet art. If one of these showed up at your door this week, we wanna see! 👀

The Inngest CLI now has an api subcommand. Inspect runs, pull traces, invoke functions—all from your terminal or CI pipeline! Built on the new v2 REST API. No dashboard required.

We also updated our agent skills and plugins with these commands, so Claude Code, Codex, and other agents can debug runs without wiring up a CLAUDE.md block by hand: Skills: github.com/inngest/inngest-s… Claude Code: github.com/inngest/inngest-c… Codex: github.com/inngest/inngest-c…

We're headed to AI Engineer World's Fair in SF! June 29-Jul 2. Stop by the booth, or come hang across the street at the Inngest loft. We'll have burritos. I mean not every day but... one day of free burritos is still a good deal 🌯.

Don't call it a comeback!! Call it a monthly series because that's what it is.
{AI} in Production is back. Thursday, July 2nd at the Inngest office in San Francisco. I'm really excited to host this amazing group of speakers! Four talks from teams running AI in production at scale: 🔧 @cursor_ai 🔐 @TryArcade 🎙️ @Vapi_AI ⚙️ @inngest Whether you're in town for AI Engineer World's Fair or local, you'll see real demos, real production lessons, no vendor pitches. Food, drinks, and networking with engineers building agents that actually survive contact with prod. RSVP link in 🧵

We recently adopted Standard Schema in SDK v4.0 so developers can now use any compatible validation library—Zod, Valibot, ArkType, etc. without the SDK caring which one you choose. Learn why we chose it, and what we learned along the way in Aaron's latest blog.

If your workflow has a step that's dependent on the function that precedes it, put the handler down. Inngest's latest API lets you launch typed, durable follow-up work from 𝘪𝘯𝘴𝘪𝘥𝘦 the function that produced the data. Meet defer() ⬇️

Defer() erases that work, letting you define and invoke follow-up 𝘸𝘪𝘵𝘩𝘪𝘯 the work that triggered it. Simply call defer() inline, inside the parent function, to pass all that data directly. Easy. Fast. Clean. Try it out!

In our recent AI in production report, we asked how confident teams were in their app's ability to handle just 2-3x scale. The most confident teams had three things in common: 1. Durability—Use of a durable execution platform 2. Observability—Speed of diagnosing failures 3. Optimization—Actively evaluating agent performance Check out the full report to find out exactly what tools rise to the top.
