PR: 8.2.0 Pizzeria in the Music Factory is rebranding as The Hamilton and will now be an event venue. This is something they’ve been working on for awhile. I first remember hearing the plans in 2018. Congrats to all involved.

I appreciate the gusto of the new owner. I ate at the Penguin and remember liking it but I was 19. For all I know the food did suck. Similar to Dish, I like new owners who maximize strengths and minimize weaknesses.

Jim Noble is at it again. He’s put up “Noble Smoke Parking Only” signs in a parking lot he doesn’t own to force the patron’s a Black woman’s business to park in the back of the lot.

Got a spare $300K? Taproom Social in Uptown is for sale. This self serve bar is within walking distance of Bank of America Stadium and the Truist Park. Seems like a home run location and concept, but the owners want out after COVID.
