Watching this game here just reminds me how we’re crying out for a quick, direct attacker who stretches the pitch & Newcastle have a whole front 3 of them

Refreshing how few touches Armstrong uses in MF to keep things ticking. Also has a knack of getting the balance right between slowing it down/speeding it up. Playa.

The real battle awaits on Saturday..
Safe to say Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall easily passes the Alex Scott audition for getting in a Tuchel England squad. Dewsbury-hall far and away the best player and midfielder on the pitch tonight 👏. #BOUEVE

Given the season ticket away but can now go since it’s been moved..😅 what’s the best way to buy a ticket, ballot or the re-sale??
Exc: Arsenal apply for Premier League game against Everton to be played a day earlier on December 20 at 8pm as they look to avoid playing twice in three days after Carabao Cup clash versus Crystal Palace was moved to December 23. bbc.co.uk/sport/football/art…

Excellent retention in the dribble & pass, turns either way on a dime, deft touches, 1-2’s and has the turn & explosion on the back line if he’s in the mood. Still think he’s a 2nd phase #8 but boy can he do the #10 for us at the minute too.

This team lacks A) runners in behind B) passers in MF and C) competent FB’s (as we know). We’ll often bypass B and C through Ndiaye/Grealish individual quality but opposing teams know this & now look to double/triple up & it’s not as reliable.

I’m sure Sunderland stepped ~5 yards higher once Ndiaye came off. Without him there’s no one to penetrate/attack space and they suffocated us.

For all the issues on display there it’s mind-boggling the way these signings are being handled

All this optimism ay & they’re gonna make us go into the season with Jake O’Brien as a starting FB

~10 mins towards the end we looked just a little bit less shit & it’s because of Grealish on the left. Not necessarily because of his quality (it helps) but he’s an *actual* left winger. He has natural tendencies to create out there.

Long story short, sign a right winger who’s the same. We’re forcing players into roles where they’re not as comfortable & overcomplicating matters.

After calling for players to make it ‘stick’ for years & now looking at fielding Grealish, KDH & Ndiaye in the same ATT lineup is refreshing. Almost argue we’ve got TOO many players in those spaces now but a nice complaint to have considering what once was.

I can maybe forgive the fact that this signing is prime Moshiri era thinking but then.. where does he actually even play?

As exclusively revealed all summer @thebullensview Jack Grealish is now set to sign for Everton on loan, agreement is now in place between the two clubs 🔵

Please. Someone with legs. Someone to eat up ground. Force 1v1’s. Create dilemmas & uncertainty for them. It’s too easy.

I’d swap Danjuma & McNeil in the current game-state. Not enough territory to find McNeil higher up for his crosses so stick Danjuma out there who’s more of a threat in transition compared to the right.

‘If you have chance to do 1v1 you do it. You lose it you lose it’.
"This is a winger, PROPER winger!" 👏 Pep Guardiola heaps praise on Jeremy Doku after his first goal for Man City 🙌
