Santiago Santos of Inversion shares his perspective on the real benefactors of crypto.
"The CEO of Western Union is here because he realizes onchain settlement can save his firm billions on the float." "That is the real Institutional FOMO." @santiagoroel says we’ve transitioned from a retail-driven "buy the coin" market to an institutional "fix the P&L" market. The pressure is coming from a "basket of public companies" that are already using these rails to outperform the S&P, forcing the old guard to either innovate or be liquidated.

The disconnect between crypto adoption and token prices is at an ATH. Despite the correction, most tokens are still overvalued and won’t recover to ATHs. Hyperliquid is the exception. The alpha is in crypto-enabled equities. Founder-led companies like Figure, Nubank, and Robinhood will outperform. I talked about it today live on @FINTECHTVglobal : fintech.tv/the-future-of-dig…

What if 2% of your monthly churn isn't really churn, it's just bad payment rails? Plug in your numbers: inversioncap.com/labs/calcul… @inversion_cap
I obsess about payment infrastructure because it is a drag that shouldn't be there, and yet most accept it as a cost of doing business. Whether you're in SaaS, subscriptions, or any recurring business, payment infrastructure is a friction tax that eats into margins and unit economics. And it's about to get worse. AI is breaking the pricing model that card rails were built around. Programmatic spend requires programmatic money, and credit cards are not that. I think this goes away. It is the single most impactful lever you can pull to improve the business. I built a calculator because it's easier to show how corrosive the current payment infrastructure is to SaaS than to explain it. Full post: obviously.substack.com/p/the…
