Talking over a car overheating problem with AI right now. I kid you not... "Let’s slow this right down and look at it mechanically, not emotionally." ;)

And I must say — this is some proper analytical thinking from a radiation physicist turned cooling systems detective 😄 / <--- how very dare you AI !!

My RS6 needs a new water pump / thermostat. That means the complete front end of the car (lights, radiators, bumpers etc etc) have to come off. I am sure this will be my last 'complicated' car. This is £1000's coming up.

WTF! where have I been? Was looking for a small joint of beef brisket to chop up and slow cook in a curry sauce. Not done this for maybe 5 years. Well I used to but for maybe £5 at most - today it was £12. For brisket!! I am having chicken curry tonight!

ionactive.co.uk/resource-hub… Let's see this get no traction at all ! Another calculator from Ionactive. estimate gamma & neutron dose rates from radioactive sources : AmBe, AmB, Cf-252, PuBe, RaBe etc. Or predict activity of the source from the gamma, neutron or combined dose rates.

£540 for six months water (meter / Thames Water). A few years ago it was less than that for a full year.

18 hardware synths I have not played since Covid. I am still waiting for the "bite" to come back and get these all up and running again.

I know you should not believe everything in the papers. But really - 100% council tax increase on bands G and H? We are G. A small unspectacular 4 bed (3 bed & box room) detached near Twyford (Berkshire). Tax would go from 380 --> £760 a MONTH. Out of taxed income?!

This is really rather satisfying. Me and son got this going tonight after a keyboard membrane replacement. Yes emulation exists, but for us we wanted the hardware to work. Dragon 32 already done, wonder what we will attempt next !

Our dog was terrified of the fireworks last night. But each to their own. We have the 5th of November to deal with next. But WHY are they still going off tonight?!

Tonight's reading. Compendium of Material Composition Data for Radiation Transport Modeling 200-DMAMC-128170 PNNL-15870, Rev. osti.gov/servlets/purl/17827… How much better can life get I wonder?

Oil addition before another week of travel. This car made 34 mpg last week, which is pretty impressive over nearly 1000 miles. That is way above expectations. Probably the Litchfield mod to > 700 bhp. More torque for sure.

Working in Aberdeen this week. This beats a premier Inn (and I have nothing against them ). What a fabulous place and grounds. I am glad Aberdeen city hotels were sold out. Got my real time radon monitor to try out later !

BA1459 is delayed again from Edinburgh to London. The special fun part is several emails, texts, the departure board, the BA app all say different departure times, which vary by about an hour between them.

Observation. We have a rescue dog - had 1 month - amazing pet & doing well considering. My first dog since I was 18 (now 54). Cleaning up Poo was an initial stress (horrible!), but now routine. So why do other owners let their dogs crap everywhere & not clean up?!
