Concerning to hear about anyone But also sucks when someone who is supposed to be your friend is airing out your personal issues publicly for likes and views. Gurus exist at all levels and all suck equally.
Joe Rogan just took time out of his podcast to express genuine concern for his friend Theo Von. He admitted that some of Von’s recent behavior after getting on SSRIs “freaks me out” — especially his comments about suicide. ROGAN: “Theo Von’s going through the exact same thing and last time he was on the podcast he was explaining it to me.” “It freaks me out because I know Theo has had conversations before...like even publicly.” “He had a Netflix taping and it didn’t go well. It was like they actually never...they shelved it. They never used it.” “And you know there was all these stories from people that were there saying he bombed. I think he just had a kind of a breakdown.” “And when he was talking to the crowd and there’s a video of it, he said, you know, the people were saying, hey, we still love you.” “He goes, thank you. Look, I’m just I’m trying not to take my own life.” “And like you hear stuff like that and you just go like, oh, Jesus Christ.” “I’ve known too many people that I didn’t think were going to kill themselves and then did.” “And then he goes down these spirals where he starts talking about world events and freaking out. I’m like, oh, Jesus Christ! Like, I got to help this dude.”

The GLP's, Reta, and Looksmaxxing stuff is getting pretty gay. its going way beyond striving to be attractive - which is an indicator of good health and discipline now every dude out there is trying to be the prettiest princess at the ball top streamer in the world literally tells men to wear make up and put shoulder pads in their shirt. no more focus on actually being capable/strong/rich/etc - just looking the part. the way to stand out - like always - is to be the real thing.
Now that everybody is getting sickly lean with GLPs, once can assume the new status symbol will be being built like a brick shithouse. Becoming an explosive ball of fast twitch muscles takes more effort than taking a drug that makes you not hungry.

Btw not saying you can’t do these things For some it’s helpful. Not against it. But there is anarrative that all of these contribute to that is unhealthy and unnatural

tbh the "looksmaxxing" movement is just the right wing equivalent of the trans movement streamers literally telling dudes to wear make up. insane. i'm all for putting in effort to be an attractive person but this is just taking shortcuts that achieve the opposite and have zero long term value / staying power mental illness.

This stuff is truly tragic and evil. Esp once you realize how easily psychiatrists push this stuff on people. Men im sure its pretty prevalent but from personal experience i know many many women who were put on SSRI's idk the stats but its gotta be like 4/10-5/10 esp in the 15-30yo demographics horrifying withdrawals and permanent damage after and if you know someone going through this you know how brutal it is for them and tbh what makes it even worse is that now theres a stigma attached to it. i had an ex on SSRI's and now if a girl mentions she's on SSRI's or was on them I lose interest bc i know a true connection will never exist and I pursue other options
“I’m 23 years old… and my clitoris is completely numb, like the back of my elbow. I can’t orgasm. I can’t feel love for my own mother. I can’t even enjoy music anymore.” That was Laureen Friedman’s raw testimony at a recent Safety Advocates on Mental Health Care panel. She lives with PSSD — Post-SSRI Sexual Dysfunction. After taking Zoloft, she woke up one day with total genital numbness, zero libido, permanent inability to orgasm, and a sudden emotional numbness she describes as “chemical castration” and an “emotional lobotomy.” What used to be a deeply emotional, empathetic, songwriting young woman now feels disconnected from the core human experiences of love and pleasure. She says she was never warned this could happen even after stopping the drug. Millions are prescribed SSRIs every year, often without being told about rare but potentially permanent side effects like PSSD. People deserve full informed consent about what they’re risking. Have you or anyone you know experienced lasting sexual or emotional side effects from antidepressants?

Mentioned this a few weeks ago. Big tech companies are diversifying away from ad platforms into other revenue streams Before when there was a bad quarter - and they only had ad revenue to rely on - they open the floodgates and ads get easier. Think this will prob happen less often in the future.
Alphabet made $62.6 billion in profit last quarter. Up 81%. The AI payoff isn't coming. It's here.

in F1, there are people who drive the car and people who build the car. same with meta ads. people who drive the car (media buyers) and people who build it (meta employees) never take advice on how to run ads from a fb rep. they might tell you about new features, new programs, get you access to a beta but they don't know shit about media buying.

enjoyment > engagement 99% of people out there are living with the sole purpose of impressing people that dont give a shit about them
Mark Cuban thinks most ultra-rich lifestyles are ridiculous. He gets invited to mansions with 50 servants — people whose only job is making toast — and his reaction is just… why? Too many staff, zero privacy, and living for show instead of actually enjoying the money. He’d rather live how he wants than follow the “rich person script.” (Though he does admit the heated toilet seat is elite.) Theo Von admitted he felt so guilty having a cleaner once a week that he helped her for the first month.

Most people are getting completely hollowed out by social media pendulum / desire for fame. Everything they do is based on engagement / likes instead of enjoyment. Don’t buy the watch/car/tshirt you like. Buy the one you think other people will like. Sad. Enjoyment > Engagement

This shits only the beginning. These parasites will prob be everywhere sooner or later. Everybody with their own camera crew to get their own slice of “fame” Going “out” will prob become incredibly soy Imagine this leads to more “no phones/cameras” venues, increase in country club memberships, cigar lounges, etc. Rise of tech, streaming, AI will create an equal and opposite reaction on the “analog” side of things where people can detach from the digital pendulum and not have to associate with digital parasites underclass.

Jake Paul's girlfriend and Olympian, Jutta Leerdam got upset at Marlon and Sara Saffari for filming on the field while warming up for a creator soccer match 👀😳 “too much vlogging, put the cameras away and focus on the ball”
