A key finding from AIIMS New Delhi research highlights that increased screen time in children under one year of age is associated with a higher risk of autism by the age of three.
The study suggests that greater screen exposure may increase the likelihood of autism-related concerns. Experts recommend keeping children below 18 months away from screens.

Chief Secretary Atal Dulloo chaired a high-level review on the implementation of welfare schemes for marginalized sections across J&K. Emphasizing upgraded facilities at Anganwadi Centres and measurable nutrition outcomes under Poshan, he called for field-driven decision-making and proposed Composite Homes for orphans, elderly, and destitute women. The Social Welfare Department is implementing 46 schemes with a âš4,361 Cr outlay, covering nearly 9 lakh beneficiaries. Approved proposals worth âš1,088 Cr for FY 2025-26 include Mission Poshan, Shakti, Vatsalya, PMMVY & BBBP, with several more under consideration.
