Alhamdulillah! The wedding events of my union, which has expanded our family under our beautiful Nupe customs and Islamic traditions, have just concluded successfully in Kwara. The celebrations spanned three towns, Lafiagi, Tsaragi, and Ilorin; from the colourful Tsakan/Nupe traditional day, through the Nikkah, and ended with the reception. It was a beautiful gathering filled with love, rich cultural celebration, prayers, and the heartfelt warmth of family and friends. To my Uwarigida, thank you for your understanding, patience, and cooperation, especially through the nay-sayings and challenges. Your strength and grace continue to inspire and steady our home. To our beloved parents, siblings, extended family, friends, supporters, and well-wishers, we sincerely thank you for your sacrifices, guidance, and unwavering support. If I have my way, I would have mentioned everybody’s name. You all stood by us and held us up in ways words cannot fully capture. Special appreciation also goes to our mentors, friends, colleagues, and the wonderful community that showed up in large numbers, sent messages, gifts, and prayers. Your presence turned these moments into cherished memories. May Allah bless every soul that contributed in any way, forgive our shortcomings, and grant us a blessed union rooted in love, peace, barakah, mutual respect, and lasting harmony. Egi Nupe remains deeply grateful. #NupeWedding #Alhamdulillah #FamilyFirst #NupeCulture

It do so sad, so many young women from various African countries are being trafficked into forced prøstitution. While false promises completely deceive some, others feel forced to choose this path out of sheer desperation. Tragically, many lose their lives, while countless others remain trapped in debt bondage, working endlessly for abusers just to win back their freedom.

Some men marry their wife because she's a good woman, kind, etc not because they adore her, love her, or find her attractive... Next, they'll be cheating on her with different women lol...... It's just sad, that some good women end up with bad husbands..💔
A friend of mine is getting married tomorrow right here in Abuja. According to him,he told me that he isn't marrying his wife because he really loves her but because she is a good girl and a virgin. That she doesn't have the kind of body he likes in a woman. He also said that he knows he won't be loyal to his wife but he just wants to keep her because she is good. Now he is asking me if what he is saying is making sense. Please what do I tell him?

Why does when a woman says she want to 'live her best life' always get equated with partying and høøkup culture? For me, it looks like career success, traveling, exploring new cultures, and higher education.
Imagine not living your best life because you want to be called wife material

It’s wild how some people hear a woman say she wants to live her 'best life' and immediately assume it means partying, drinking, and dating around. There is so much more to a fulfilling life, such as advancing your career, traveling the world, immersing yourself in new cultures, and constantly learning by pursuing higher education.
lol, please define “best life” I hope you don’t mean partying, drinking and man hopping

A proposal is supposed to involve the people who love her; often, it’s her own family and friends who help plot the perfect surprise. But he didn't care about her happiness. For him, it was never about 'us' it was always just 'me'.
This gist is crazy A lady rejected a marriage proposal because the guy planned the entire event around his own friends (she doesn’t vibe with most of them) and didn’t involve any of her friends or family. When she arrived, the venue was filled with his friends, while none of her loved ones knew about the proposal or were there to share the moment with her. What are your thoughts?

Women, have your own source of income. Never make yourself entirely financially dependent on a partner. When you don't have your own money, it opens the door for financial abuse, control, and losing your voice in your own home. Financial independence ensures you are always treated with the respect you deserve.
Soy enfermera. Esa humillación me dolió demasiado.

Away from Temi Otedola… Please guard your womb and your life jealously, stop playing with it! Ladies, get pregnant when you know your partner can afford the best healthcare and, at the very least, a decent postnatal experience for you. I’m tired of seeing women work themselves to exhaustion during pregnancy because they have to meet their own share of the financial responsibilities. I’m tired of seeing women suffer botched surgeries and lifelong health complications because they can’t afford good hospitals. I’m tired of seeing women die because they cannot afford hospital bills. Be intentional about who you choose to have children with. That’s the real struggle of the average Nigerian woman.
