The National Strategic Plan on Gender-Based Violence and Femicide (NSP on GBVF) is South Africa’s bold, united response to GBVF: a whole-of-society plan designed by government and civil society to drive real, lasting change. For those new to it, the NSP on GBVF is built on six pillars: 1. Accountability, Coordination & Leadership 2. Prevention & Rebuilding Social Cohesion 3. Justice, Safety & Protection 4. Response, Care, Support & Healing 5. Economic Power 6. Research & Information Management Our Living Evidence Map is a critical part of Pillar 6, a dynamic resource that strengthens the research and knowledge base needed to inform smart, effective policies and programs. Watch as the Director of Research and Knowledge at the @DpmeOfficial, Dr Harsha Dayal @Dayal70 explains the policy environment that shaped the development of the Living Evidence Map, with a focus on how the tool supports South Africa’s commitment to evidence-informed policymaking in addressing GBVF under the National Strategic Plan.
