Okay someone let me pick up my grail. what an awesome cosmic set of events. I’ve been looking at buying this Light Arcanine card on eBay for a few weeks now, and then this version shows up. Truly a unique and beautiful card.
The irony of how these (few)traits hit all at once is perfect. You take a "Light" Arcanine (traditionally the most gentle, peaceful counterpart to the original) and drench it in a deep, heavy ruby saturation.
Then! hidden in the center, you have the sketch of Pain from Naruto.
A Pokémon known for kindness, covered in dark ruby tones, harboring the character who literally represents the cycle of suffering. The contrast is elite.
