Here's an example of this from the first course in "Verycat Adventure". These jumps are already pretty tight as-is. I have no idea if the author's intentions was to make it harder this way but given its described as having "vanilla difficulty in mind." I'm not entirely sure.
After playing so many custom SM64 levels I've noticed some creators like to add bevels around the tops of walls/platforms to make them smoother. While it looks visually good this affects gameplay as you cannot easily ledge grab them. Be careful with adding bevels!

Just for reference this isn't meant as a way of criticism, it was just an easy example to showcase what I mean.

If I were allowed to make a game with any IP I'd make a Garfield bounty hunter game where he hunts down vampires in a gothic wild west.

One thing you can do to make low-poly scenes more interesting is to make things slightly crooked. Rayman 2 does this everywhere (though not as extreme as my example)

Seeing more and more vibecoded recomps is starting to make me roll my eyes when I see another one come out. I feel like Banjo was the exception than the standard.

The ring spinning the wrong way was a programming error but I'm keeping it this way because it adds an element of timing and leading your throws.

I hate how pill colliders for platformers are industry standard. In my opinion, the player's origin point should never sag below the floor. So, I've devised my own Godot "Cylinder-based Footing" character controller that combines the benefits of both capsules & cylinders.

This comment sums how it feels seeing some of the weirdest stuff after clicking the random button on RHDC.

Just found out about Pikuniku I honestly thought it was a crossover of Pikachu and Miku for some reason

Just found out one of the oldest SM64 retextures from 2007 has been preserved. There's something super surreal taking a look at it in HD 19 years later.

Take a look at what I make when I'm not meming it out. It is very funni x.com/its_mirrors/status/205…

The extremely unhinged brain of mine thought "what if I did that thing Rascal for the PS1 does where it seamlessly switches from the title screen to gameplay"

Does anybody have that one video from 2007 where Wario Ware on the GBA was modified to run at turbo speed.
