Gonna try to do a big thread of why I love and concern for this game in a bit, there’s so much to love about what this remake is doing but there’s also some tiny bit of skepticism that should be taken into consideration. Overall this game looks so hype and I’ll gush abt it later!

People will say they hate 343 lore and then turn around and take Halo 4 calling Spartan-IIs "sociopaths" at face value as if Fall of Reach, First Strike, Ghosts of Onyx, and Cole Protocol don't disprove that at every opportunity
What could possibly make a Spartan-II any more robotic/emotionless than a Spartan-III? I really dislike the stonewall emotionless brick interpretation people seem to get from Spartans for some reason. I blame Halo 4.

Literally nobody outside of those who have a REALLY good reason to know should even register there's a distinction between spartan generations let alone be aware of them and what those specific differences would entail but then writers wouldn't be able to glaze spatan-iis nonstop

Kurt saw "only" 5-6 years of nonstop combat deployments before he started training S-IIIs, that's more action than most real "grizzled veteran" SOF types see in their lives

like if you're a soldier who goes on a tour of duty or two, and you see live combat three, four, five times, that automatically puts you in a league of your own in terms of veterancy
every Spartan-II or III had more combat experience than that by their 16th birthday
