honestly i'm this close to quitting reading for good. every single author i actually love turns out to be problematic or worse. i'm so tired of finding out after i already got attached. feels like i can't enjoy anything anymore without a background check first
tysm to everyone who replied! apparently there were many more novels-in-verse than i realized (& BY actual poets thank god —i stand by the fact that ones by excl. prose/fic writers prob are bad across the board bc they just don’t have the craft down). excited 2 check these out 💗
im not trying to be a b it’s just that the reality is that most writers don’t work in academia anymore bc the jobs simply do not exist. so what is the point of this
