Dear Barnes and Noble,
I walked into our new local Barnes & Noble just to observe. It was packed with families. Kids sitting in a pile listening to storytime by a woman with a silly Llama hat. Fathers and Sons hovered over sports hero books, Couples in the faith and healing section. The sheer JOY of seeing people touch physical books, learning, looking, thinking. The air oozed with positivity and smiles. I could feel the energy of sheer imaginations. It felt like the coziness of a fresh towel out of the dryer. A sense of normalcy that we have collectively forgotten, and so desperately need. I left after absorbing all the feels with a renewed faith in humanity. Thank you. In a world where technology has our heads looking down before even reaching preschool these days, your return has given me hope and serenity again.
