One of the things people value most about Windows is making the PC feel like their own. People customize their desktop in very specific ways to fit how they work. Taskbar positioning and app labels are good examples. When I’m using voice typing to draft communications, I have adopted taskbar on the left with app labels on so I can keep reference material like a web page, document, emails, and chats visible by title. More vertical space, and more context at a glance while I’m pulling my thoughts together. We’ll share this and more at our Windows Insider meetup next week at //build in SF.

One of my favorite (new) features we have designed into the Windows shell. How should Windows "feel" so various operations like snapping windows feel fluid? Coming to more PCs and peripherals soon!
I've been testing out Windows 11's new Haptic Signals feature on compatible hardware, and I think I love it. I'm someone who yearns for small UX details like this, and I'm so happy to see Microsoft leaning into subtle but quality UX implementations like haptics across the Windows Shell. These new Haptic Signals provide a subtle bump when interacting with certain UI elements and actions, such as snapping app windows or dragging files in File Explorer. The feedback response feels great and intentional, and makes using the OS feel more satisfying. There's still room for improvement, but I'd be lying if I said I wasn't impressed with this first implementation. It's only supported on a handful of devices for now, but that should change over time. I've always loved the haptic feedback layered throughout Google Pixel phones, and now Windows is getting its own version of it. More UX niceties like this, please! windowscentral.com/microsoft…

Game Pass Ultimate has become too expensive for too many players. Starting today, we’re dropping the price from $29.99 to $22.99/month. Future Call of Duty titles will no longer join Game Pass Ultimate on day one. They will join this tier the following holiday after launch (about a year later). Current Call of Duty titles will remain available to Ultimate subscribers. We’ll keep learning and evolving Game Pass to better match what matters to players. xbx.lv/4cWO9hR
