. @smitspatel11 @kalliezhang_ are both amazing for pulling off this event, everyone I talked to had so much fun.
thank you for inviting me to judge!
IF YOUâRE IN TORONTO, PULL UP TO THE NEXT SIH :)
this @socraticainfo Symposium was the best weekend of 2026 so far.
reminded me of why I started coding, for the love of making.
no external validation, just the pure excitement of being able to do anything I could think about!
12 year old me recreating Super Smash Bros on Scratch.
making my own choose your own adventure game with Darkest Dungeon screen grabs.
participating in hackathons and building projects.
but
somewhere along the way of grinding leetcode,
3rd year algorithms courses (s/o CSC373 for draining my lifeforce),
and preparing myself for the âindustryâ
that spark went away.
the hackathon participations started getting fewer and fewer
and
the side projects turned into unfinished âif I had more timeâs.
so thank you! to all the cool demos and people I met this weekend
for reminding why I love to code â¤ď¸
hereâs my pledge to
many many many many many projects to come this year :)
and who knows
maybe weâll be demoing next year too.
@KlausCodes
Iâm going to be in Waterloo for the symposium on both Saturday and Sunday!
