This headline is true. For a while @amazon has been using deceptive tactics even just to submit a return and get a refund back to your original payment credit card. They have since fixed this, but before you would have to look closely to choose your original credit card option...

...as it used to appear as a link rather than a button option like the other options appeared, such as Amazon Store Credit, which appeared very obviously for customers to be able to choose. Simply speaking from experience.
