🚨🔵 EXCLUSIVE: While Chelsea fans argue about Jackson and João Pedro, Xabi Alonso could quietly bring his own striker to Stamford Bridge.
According to reports, Chelsea are monitoring Gonzalo GarcÃa, a striker Xabi Alonso already knows very well from his time working with Real Madrid. And honestly, this is one link that makes a lot of sense.
GarcÃa has quietly impressed whenever called upon, delivering 8 goals and 3 assists in around 1,471 minutes while also scoring 6 goals in limited La Liga appearances. More importantly, whenever Real Madrid needed someone to step up in Mbappé's absence, GarcÃa took his chance.
What stands out about him is how different his profile is compared to Chelsea's current options. He's a natural goalscorer who thrives on intelligent movement, attacking spaces between defenders and being in the right place at the right time. Strong with both feet, dangerous in the air and excellent at linking play, he's often been compared to Raúl González because of his instinct in front of goal.
Xabi Alonso is already a big admirer of GarcÃa's qualities. His versatility allows him to play centrally, drift wide or drop deeper into build-up phases, making him a very useful option in modern attacking systems. At a reported £30m, he could genuinely become one of the smartest value-for-money signings available this summer.
Personally, I wouldn't mind Chelsea moving on from Jackson if it meant bringing GarcÃa into the squad. João Pedro and Jackson have similarities in how they operate, but João Pedro and GarcÃa would give Chelsea two completely different striker profiles. One can drop deep and create, while the other lives for attacking the box and finishing chances.
Sometimes the best signings aren't always the most expensive ones. Sometimes they're the players your manager already knows, trusts and understands perfectly.

🚨BREAKING: Xabi Alonso hasn't even fully taken charge yet... and he's already changing players' minds.
There will be a lot of changes coming from July 1st when Xabi Alonso officially gains full control of Chelsea's squad. From what I'm hearing, Marc Cucurella has told his agent to put things on hold for now, and after publicly speaking about his conversations with Xabi Alonso, a move away suddenly looks far less likely. He even revealed he spoke with Grimaldo and Borja, who worked under Xabi, and both spoke highly of him. His own words were that "the project seems very interesting", and honestly, that sounds like a player already buying into the new vision.
The same applies across the squad. Xabi reportedly wants to keep the core of the team that won the Club World Cup together. Palmer, Caicedo, Joao Pedro, Estevao, Andrey Santos, Reece James, Colwill, Chalobah, Neto, Sanchez and even Malo Gusto, despite links elsewhere, are all expected to get their opportunity under the new manager. Then there are players like Gittens, Garnacho, Tosin, Badiashile and others whose futures are less certain. Some will survive by impressing Xabi, others simply won't fit into what he's building.
As for the biggest question marks, Cucurella and Enzo Fernandez remain up in the air. They could stay, they could leave, but the important thing is that Xabi Alonso is still counting on both of them right now. 🚨 Chelsea fans won't believe this... but Morgan Rogers actually wants Chelsea.
I've been saying it for days now, and the feedback coming back remains positive. A lot of Chelsea fans won't believe it because we missed out on European football, but Chelsea will always be Chelsea. The club still has pull, the badge still speaks, and I genuinely believe there will be a marquee signing this summer. Morgan Rogers could very well be that statement signing.
From what I'm hearing, Rogers likes Xabi Alonso, likes his style of football, and believes his game can reach another level under an attack-minded coach. He wants to play alongside Cole Palmer, his childhood friend, and the idea of linking up with players like Caicedo, Joao Pedro, Estevao and the rest of this talented squad is something that appeals to him. More importantly, he reportedly prefers the footballing vision under Xabi Alonso over what Arsenal are currently offering.
Now the big hurdle remains the fee because Aston Villa won't make this easy. But from the player's side, there appears to be no issue with representing Chelsea. This is definitely one to watch closely because if Chelsea are willing to spend the money, the interest looks very real from both sides.

City wanted to move quickly for Enzo Fernandez before the World Cup started, but the issue is their sporting directors didn't want to fully move ahead with major decisions until Enzo Maresca's appointment was sorted. Chelsea then stepped in demanding around £20m compensation from City, not because of PSR concerns, but to help with the UEFA settlement situation. Talks between both clubs are now at an advanced stage with lawyers and senior figures negotiating the package and details.
The delay has had a knock-on effect. City wanted clarity before the World Cup, now that window has gone. International managers have repeatedly warned players against transfer distractions during the tournament, making it even harder for City to progress anything involving Enzo Fernandez right now. As a result, City have been forced to look at alternative midfield targets while Chelsea continue standing firm.

🚨 Marcel Desailly just exposed Chelsea's biggest problem... and it's not Cole Palmer.
I actually agree with Desailly when he says Cole Palmer can become a Ballon d'Or winner. The talent is there, nobody can deny that. But let's be honest here, how do you expect a player to develop that ruthless winning mentality when he's playing in a team that finished 10th, went through managerial chaos, lacked leaders on the pitch, and constantly looked like a side learning on the job? Palmer has to improve mentally, yes, but Chelsea must also create an environment where winners are produced.
This is exactly why hearing that Xabi Alonso wants experienced winners added to the squad is music to my ears. Palmer, Enzo Fernandez, Caicedo and the rest of these talented players need experienced heads around them. Football isn't won with potential alone. Every great Chelsea side had a spine full of winners, Terry, Lampard, Drogba, Cech, Carvalho. That's what this squad lacks.
Palmer can absolutely become a Ballon d'Or contender, but Chelsea need to stop relying solely on young talent and start surrounding their stars with proven winners who understand pressure, expectations and success. That's how you unlock the next level of a player like Cole Palmer.

🚨 Jesse Derry might be Chelsea's biggest young talent at the moment... and that's exactly why he should leave on loan.
Derry is definitely talented, nobody can deny that. We all saw glimpses of what he can do when given the opportunity. But let's face reality, this is Chelsea. Just look at Tyrique George. A talented Cobham product, yet the club still spent massive money on players like Gittens and Garnacho instead of fully trusting what they already had. George was viewed as behind them before he even got a fair run in the team.
Now apply that same logic to Jesse Derry. Chelsea are still looking at attacking reinforcements, Gittens is still around, and even if Garnacho leaves, Derry would still find himself behind several names in the pecking order. I love the kid and I genuinely believe he has the talent to succeed at Chelsea, but where exactly are the minutes coming from? The best thing for both parties is a loan move where he can play every week, develop, and return stronger.
Reece James and Mason Mount benefited massively from going out on loan before becoming key Chelsea players. Derry should follow that path. Ironically, had Ngumoha stayed at Chelsea, he might be in the same situation right now. Instead, he's getting opportunities elsewhere. I want Derry to succeed here, but being realistic, a loan move feels like the smartest option for his development.

🚨 Chelsea target Morgan Rogers is currently prioritising either Arsenal or Bayern Munich.
According to Football Transfers, Rogers' representatives have held extensive talks only with Arsenal and Bayern Munich so far. Those are currently the only two destinations the Aston Villa star would seriously consider this summer.
Chelsea remain admirers, but as things stand, Arsenal and Bayern are leading the race.

🚨 Enzo Fernandez has 15 goals in a season, yet some Chelsea legends still want him moved BACKWARDS. I don't get it. 💀🔥
Marcel Desailly wants Enzo Fernandez playing deeper alongside Moises Caicedo, but for me that's exactly the wrong move. We finally saw the best version of Enzo last season when he was allowed to get forward, attack spaces, crash the box and influence games higher up the pitch. The result? 15 goals. That's not the return of a player you want sitting in front of the defence.
People forget we've already tried Enzo as a No.6 before. He looked restricted, Chelsea looked predictable and we never truly got the best out of him. Yes, he's intelligent, yes, his passing range is elite, but his biggest strength is affecting games in advanced areas. Why move a player further away from goal when he's finally proving he can deliver goals and assists consistently?
For me, Caicedo should continue doing what he does best, winning duels, covering ground and protecting the backline. Enzo should stay further forward where he can hurt teams. If he stays at Chelsea this summer, the last thing Xabi Alonso should do is turn him into a defensive midfielder again. Let Enzo be Enzo.
