In conclusion, our in-silico representation of patients hints that healthy-like brain dynamics might be recovered from DoC models through pharmacological perturbations, especially via serotonergic and opioid receptors, offering mechanistic insights into their effects. (8/8)

Interestingly, these shifts did not correlate with the receptor's similarity to structural connectivity but with the overall density of the receptor map. 5HT-2A receptors were more sensitive to perturbations. (7/8)

🚨First PhD preprint 🚨Here we propose a methodology for pharmacological treatment development of DoC. Our model suggests that high density receptors like 5HT2A and 5HT1A are the optimal to recuperate healthy-like dynamics in a DoC model. biorxiv.org/content/10.1101/…
