It's not bad for my new app, only with ASO. But the bad part is that the conversion rate from download to trial is low.
Probably I need to improve onboarding and paywall...

The reason it’s better to use a Mac Mini for OpenClaw (NanoClaw) is that you can then use the Claude Max subscription without fear of a ban. It’s the same as using Claude Code CLI. You can’t use the same subscription on VPS because of OAuth and token refresh…
I burned through over $150 on Anthropic API in two days and now I’ll definitely get a Mac Mini and a separate Claude Pro subscription…

Besides subscriptions in the app, I’ll also offer a one time purchase of packages (like tokens). I think most people don’t really like subscriptions and the obligation of recurring payments, maybe a one time package purchase will do well.
Do you have experience with this approach and what do you think?

Finally finished my boilerplate for mobile apps, with all the predefined features. Took me almost 6 months 😅
2026 is definitely going to be the year I release a bunch of new mobile apps.
PS. Writing this post so I can quote it in the future. Currently at around $1.6k MRR.

@marclou get some analyst data from trustMRR that says it takes around 5 months for the first dollar. So I'm good 🙂

It's become disgustingly obvious.
After talking to loads of $10K-$100K MRR iOS app developers and dissecting their businesses...
I'm very confident that successful mobile apps come down to:
1. great onboarding
2. that leads to some sort of hard paywall
3. with the balls to not offer a free plan
ofc you need solid product and distribution to get those users in the door but,
the customer and the money is mostly made right after install.

Do you have any ideas on how to increase the conversion rate? Many people reach the paywall, but very few actually buy. Only 1.14% click on purchase. What is the normal conversion rate?
What I can do now is A/B test the paywall, or I have some problems in the onboarding flow.

This is the improvement in my organic visits and keywords after adding several free tools.
It appears to enhance SEO significantly. 🚀
