Many people are blaming the water companies for this. Yes, they are doing terrible things to our rivers. But human sewage is only the second worst source of river pollution in the UK. The biggest is agriculture. The River Wye has been poisoned mainly by chicken farms.
My son after playing in the Wye at his year six camp this weekend-many of them very unwell. Our children can't play in rivers anymore @Feargal_Sharkey @SaveTheWye @RiverActionUK @FriendsUpperWye @Tesco @WildlifeTrusts @GeorgeMonbiot @GoodLawProject @NaturalEngland @ChrisGPackham

'The Police' are trending... Stevenage police taser old man then kick him in the back smashing head into ground... for nicking a £1 tin of beer. The police later issued a statement saying their officers had acted using 'proportionate force.' Proportionate force? I don't think so.

Daniel: I live in the Netherlands. We have too many tomatoes! We used to export them to the UK but it now takes a truck driver 77 hours of queueing to take tomatoes to the UK and all truck drivers simply refuse. So now we have cheap abundant tomatoes here in the Netherlands.

A bit grim in the River Bollin at #Macclesfield this morning. Whatever toxic waste has been dumped in there has killed all the fish. #StormHour

This is the reality of the #LakeDistrict Beautiful on the surface but all you have to do is look a little deeper to see what lurks beneath the water… I don’t swim nor let my dog swim below pipes like this. Taken on a very busy day yesterday. 🫵⬇️ savewindermere.com

Warming up the Foley studio nicely; autumn is here. Probably not the most cost effective solution but everything sounds good! @Molinare_Foley
