Tarik Skubal deemed his bullpen session on Wednesday as successful, and AJ Hinch said it was “normal,” which is a good thing.
“He says ‘checking every box,’ today was another step towards that,” Hinch said. “I like where it’s going. I like where he is describing his normal work days. Everything is normal today, which is the best news we could get.”
Hinch said the Tigers don’t want to plan too far ahead, but it appears Skubal is on track to start for Detroit on Saturday in Cleveland against the Guardians.
Skubal’s last start was April 29, as he underwent surgery in May to remove loose bodies from his elbow.
