To be clear: I haven't gone quiet, I'm basically just posting on Bluesky now. I'm not saying I won't ever post here, but if for some reason you enjoy seeing me post a lot then that's where I'm doing it!

Several cases of Trichophyton mentagrophytes type VII/VIII have been reported in the UK, especially in gay men. DMs open if anyone has been affected - I'd like to talk to you. #JournoRequest dean.st/prime-this-month/

The @BeeNetwork, originally the name for a walking and cycling network, has no information on how to cycle to Oasis - it has info on how to walk 90 mins but not how to bike 20 mins. tfgm.com/getting-to-oasis-ma…

When people are cramming on to trams and buses, or being told to walk 90 mins from the city centre, I can't help but wonder if some people would have preferred to cycle if they felt they could.

I saw someone asking on Reddit if you could cycle there and most of the commenters seemed to conclude that your bike would get robbed, which I do think is a little bit over the top reddit.com/r/manchester/comm…

10 July 2000. Commons considers amendments. The final comment by an MP before the 2000 Terrorism Act becomes law is by @MikeGapes, replying to those concerned the Act will be applied in future to "non-violent direct action." No such thing, he tells the house, will ever happen.

Would there be so many unlawful e-bikes (motorbikes) on the road if takeaway companies provided legal, regulated, safe, pedal-assist e-bikes? Would the riders break traffic laws if they weren't only paid per delivery? Look at this Takeaway .NL bike depot I saw in Rotterdam.

My Environmental Information Regulations request in to why the building of this bridge has been delayed has itself been delayed.
It's been a whole year since construction started on Manchester's newest bridge, so I threw it its first birthday party - complete with chocolate cake! Planning documents said it'd take 2.5 months, the sign said it would take six months - a year later, it's still not open.

hello @northernassist, my AirPods case dropped out of my pocket on carriage 57114 and appears to have fallen into this portal to another realm / hole in your train … is it lost forever or is there any way of getting it back? :(

Really glad to see the @railandroad review in to fare evasion following my reporting on Railcard prosecutions has completed. Government must now implement these recommendations to ensure no-one else is unfairly penalised. orr.gov.uk/search-news/orr-r…
