Someone asked me why I’m overworking myself. Have you ever been in a situation where everything felt so overwhelming that you just broke down and cried? 😔 About 5–6 years ago, I got admitted to study Computer Science in university. I had lost my dad a year earlier, and as the first child, there was no support coming from home. I couldn’t even attend my matriculation because I didn’t have anything decent to wear. I almost dropped out. As a guy, they say you’re not supposed to cry no matter what. But the pressure got so heavy that one day I just broke down. I remember asking God why He would leave me stranded like that. My friend @ugx0_ (God bless you bro) was the reason I ate many times during that period. By God’s grace, I was able to build a community around me and slowly picked myself back up. Today, I own a small company, I’m a software developer, I’ve worked with a few startups, and I’m currently building my own startup. I didn’t come from a poor background, but after we lost our breadwinner, I experienced real hardship. The full story is long, I don’t want to bore you. Everyone here has gone through (or is still going through) their own share of hardship. The past doesn’t matter as much as what we decide to do with our future.
