I just got “spinal tapped” at work today for the first time.
A gallery installation commissioned in cm turned up in mm instead, and we were all standing around in tiny town wondering what the hell happened.
Today has been an absolute privilege. If you could have told me as a girl reading battered copies of Silas Marner that one day, she would use George Eliot’s pen to sign her name on the scroll of Honorary Fellows @RSLiterature she would have exploded. 🖊️ ❤️❤️
