Several Giants players wrote Bible verses on their caps to respond to Pride Night. The gesture echoed a familiar pattern: making a night meant for inclusion about something else entirely. Read more for free, from @GrantBrisbee: nyti.ms/3Q23q8J

Mamdani on the viral "my mayor's Muslim" Knicks fan: "Thanks to him, there are a lot of people who have just been running up to me over the last few weeks just shouting, 'My Mayor's Muslim!' I said, 'It's true. I am.'"

Best part of a Knickerbocker’s championship is the music Billy Woods is inevitably going to release this summer.

And my preferred team can get these fingers as well. Do you know how many times I had to read “the Jonathan Kuminga era has officially begun” after he scored 22 in a mid January game?
The Athletic makes me laugh sometimes. They always have a penchant for cultivating melodrama where none should exist. This is a banal injury recovery story being portrayed as a watershed moment in a career. Every observable moment isn’t an interesting story.

Say what you want about millennials but if this was 2014 we would have found this girl’s name and address, sent her mom death threats and made her cry in front of Al Sharpton.
White girl describes Karmelo Anthony supporters. “They’re chimping out” “It’s niggerdom everywhere”

In the Pacific Northwest. Lived here four years. Met wonderful folks, made lots of friends. Love how green it is. But man do I wish this place was California. I could never get comfortable. But I do have a fondness for this odd part of the country

Recent pickup. Sadly I know next to nothing about Sonny Rollins. These Prestige twofers are an excellent way to get to know an artist. Didn’t know Sonny was so Von Wafer-coded

Gigi Masin: confirmed ECM head
Replying to @jacobjbg
Obsessed since day of release too! Had a recent interview read where Gigi mentions Azimuth's John Taylor. Maybe is a great source of inspiration for this new track 15questions.net/interview/gi…

Loving the new album from Gigi Masin. The most compelling track, especially for fellow ECM headz, is “Azimuth (John Taylor)”, which I wish I knew a bit more about the back story on that one. Joyful and exuberant, very interesting, excellent rhythms
