My wife ordered a set of masks with various patterns. Some had birds, others flowers. Nothing remotely edgy.

Creating content for devs (even paid) is not nearly as lucrative as you think
Anyone with the skills to write a book could make more $$$ writing actual software
They’re taking a pay cut because they enjoy educating you. Don’t be shy about kicking them some $$$

Just saw someone offering to share my Combine book for free. In a Slack community where I’m an admin 🤦♂️ don’t do that stuff folks, support independent authors and buy their work. Can’t afford it? Reach out. Most of us aren’t horrible about discounts for those that need them.

I used to avoid buying dev content as a point of pride. Because I could learn the stuff on my own.
That was dumb.
Practical Combine saved me hours of learning time. If you’re a pro dev buying time is of the best uses for $35 I can think of

I was shopping at @WedgeAndLHCoop when I heard a song that sounded very similar to a tune I wrote (and recorded) in 2007.
Same chord progression and a similar hook in the melody.

Now, I’m not about to go all Tom Petty over this. Western music has 12 notes and we mostly use like 5 of them. Similarities happen and should be expected. Nothing is truly original.
But if Adele somehow makes it a smash hit I want a cut 😛
