Narrative was โFIFA overpriced everything, seats going empty.โ
Category-style primary means teams price 4 tiers instead of 50k seats. Better demand signal. Prices land closer to actual demand. Secondary market gets real liquidity.
Underrated factor in all this.

.@FIFAWorldCup did a lot wrong to create this ticket mess ahead of the World Cup.
But the category-style primary sale is actually a pretty brilliant mechanic. If artists leaned into this mechanic for primary releases, itโd help fix a lot of whatโs broken in ticketing today.
