Homework is less valuable than a child’s extracurricular activities.
They gave school 7 hours today. Now let them put their work down so they can pick up a ball, piano, play, family time.
Don’t let your content trample their passions. #FridayFeeling

Agreed! Kids {AND adults} need more than ‘core’ subjects all day. They need creative and physical outlets to be their best version. We need a balanced system of education that allows all to thrive. #morethanscores

Please don't remove students from physical education, music, Arts, or other classes to remediate them in other areas. The immediate and long term damage they are doing to these students can be significant. And at the very least, make them feel more defeated and hate school.

Happy Lunar New Year 🎉 1st grade stamped the backgrounds and collaged the tiger. Learning about geometric and free form shapes, repetition, and cultures. Love their personalities that shine through @ClarkCreekSTEM

Love when my class and homerooms sync together. We created never before imagined superheros and they wrote about them in class. English Language (Visual) Arts! Arts integration because learning through art is POWERFUL! Play & imagination allow students to make connections faster

I had no idea how hard band kiddos and directors work until I became a band mom this year. Nor did I know how much was involved in the program. I am impressed daily by them. Got home from game at midnight just to be back at this morning for 13 hours today. #bandproud #dedicated
