35th year in the classroom ended with teacher clean up day yesterday. So what did I do for first day off....yep...6:30 am tee time with my son. You cannot start the summer better than that!

It took a few months but we begin the 12th annual Wolfsmith family Harry Potter marathon. Kids came in from their own lives to join the old man once again. So fun to gather again! Not sure how many more years we can gather for this event so I cherish each time. #family

Day 1 in my 35th year of coaching started with some solitude in the gym before 5:40 am practice. Those quiet moments bring back a flood of memories of teams past, now grown men with families, the laughs, the tears, the joy. Coaches of all ages should revel in this quiet time.

Perhaps. Although that’s not the best for him either. You still need to produce in a contract year whether you are staying or going.
It also sounded like he wasn’t fully bought into the new offense not by what he said but by some of his tone the first two weeks. But that seemed to improve last week.

This is why!!! Newly done floor, squeaky shoes, bouncing basketballs, 50 kids at first non mandatory Open Gym. How does that not make you feel like a first year coach again? He has blessed me!

Can it be? 32 years of marriage to my best friend! Through many happy days and some rough ones, you were my guiding star. As we raised two great kids and 6 rescued dogs, I have always been impressed by your endless love and strength. Looking forward to many more exciting years!
