Why aren't more women outraged that trade unions are actively campaigning against their right to single-sex spaces at work - including changing rooms, showers and toilets? Because they don't know it's happening. Many teachers, nurses and public-sector workers think they're paying for employment protection in case they're treated unfairly at work. An insurance policy of sorts - a bit like breakdown cover for their car. Most have no idea their membership fees are also funding political campaigning. Including campaigns that seek to remove hard-won rights many women value. My latest for @spiked on trade unions' open contempt for women's concerns - and why so many members don't even realise it's happening. Link to read below šŸ‘‡

To people making videos talking about this so-called ā€œgender debateā€, here’s a tip. Please understand that that the SECOND you use the word ā€œcĆsā€, every syllable that came before & uttered after, is rendered null & void. How you haven’t grasped this by now is anyone’s guessā€¦šŸ¤·

I think my fave is 'introduce non-binary legal recognition'. Let's legally define something that has *no definition* as it's definition. I mean that's obvs what we all stood for Parliament to do...

Watch this ā€˜grandmother’ knock a female journalist to the ground as he left court this week. The gentleman - known as Josie Murray - has been linked to the disappearance of a four-year-old child. Australian broadcaster Network 10 refers to Murray as ā€˜she’ throughout its report. His former partner - described as the child’s ā€˜other grandmother’ - apparently gave him a good character reference. But the aggressive scenes outside court - and the use of female pronouns for an individual who is clearly a man - rather distract from what should remain the focus of this story. A missing four-year-old child. Who police believe may no longer be alive. Murray was not convicted in relation to the child’s disappearance - but was found guilty of a separate firearms charge. Police have said that a grandparent is the sole suspect in the child’s disappearance, but have not publicly identified that person.

NEW: With the BBC in crisis after bias claims last year, it was hit by another blow - the chair of the Commons culture committee wrote a piece condemning its ā€œinstitutional biasā€. One problem, however - she now says she didn’t write it. A curious tale: theguardian.com/media/2026/j…

There’s a real problem here which is partly ā€˜our’ fault. Journalists simply haven’t challenged enough this activist idea that rejecting the Code can change the law. They haven’t sufficiently factchecked transactivist MPs, and have even contributed to this Code-led belief by stressing (constantly) the importance of waiting for the Code. Some have even ā€˜waited for the Code’ themselves in building their own policies. Of course the National doesn’t explain in this piece either ā€˜The guidance bans transgender women from using female toilets, changing facilities and sports teams, and transgender men from the male facilities’ It’s wishful thinking on a spectacular scale. ā€˜More than 15k people write to MPs calling for EHRC trans guidance to be scrapped’ thenational.scot/news/261912…

Free legal advice, if you don't want a fairly substantial sentence from a respected High Court Judge, it is open to you NOT to break into private property and then wallop a defenceless female officer with a sledgehammer.

This Green councillor has, rightly, been told to educate herself on the law. After comparing the belief that there are only two sexes to Holocaust denial, she’s had to undertake training on the Equality Act and the councillors’ code of conduct. Her comments were made in support of the cancellation of a public talk at Stroud Brewery by journalists Jo Bartosch and Robert Jessel, authors of Pornocracy, a book examining the influence of pornography on society. The event was cancelled following objections linked to the authors’ gender-critical views. I’ve learned, first-hand, that many of those who oppose gender-critical beliefs are unable or unwilling to engage with the arguments themselves. Instead, they often resort to emotional appeals, personal smears and wildly disproportionate comparisons. Comparing people who hold legally protected beliefs to Holocaust deniers is a good example. Whatever your views on sex and gender, those things are not remotely equivalent. Good to see Stroud District Council taking seriously the fact that gender-critical beliefs are protected in law and that elected representatives should understand that. Link to read in comments šŸ‘‡

TRAs get in a tizzy if someone is ā€˜misgendered’ but insist on calling women ā€˜cis’ a term that is as objectionable as it is meaningless. Women are not a subset of our sex. We are adult human females. ā€˜Trans women’ are male. They are (literally) on the other side.
