True. Also, just listen to her. That is an insane level of articulation, intelligence in flow. Fwiw I am not sure about the Eichmann quote being misremembered from a play. Sounds pretty basic to me. But regardless, can’t remember the last time I heard anyone speak like this.
I know philosophers who dine out their whole career in exposition of the brilliant Hannah Arendt. When COVID-19 hit, every single one kept his mouth shut.

“There is a crossover between TERFs and Jews because, once your eyes have been opened on one issue, you start going: ‘Well, what else is there?’” Comedian and GB News presenter @joshxhowie joins @_ConnieShaw on this week’s episode of the FSU Podcast. A veteran comedian and host of Free Speech Nation on @GBNEWS News, Josh is also a great friend of the FSU. In this episode, he discusses comedy, cancel culture, his experience as a Jewish man, and why he left the Left. It’s a fascinating conversation, and you can watch the full episode on the FSU YouTube channel 👇

Henry Nowak was an 18 year-old student on a night out in Southampton. He was brutally stabbed with a 21cm ceremonial knife carried by a Sikh man. The footage released last night is deeply distressing and has shocked us all. As Henry lay bleeding out on the ground, the police arrested him on an accusation of a racial slur. When he told officers that he could not breathe and that he had been stabbed, an officer can be heard saying “I don’t think you have, mate”. Rather than attempt to save this young man’s life, the police were more interested in an accusation of racism. The last thing Henry heard was being read his rights as he was arrested. When the police are more concerned with an allegation about words potentially said than the fact that a young man has suffered a fatal knife wound, the extent of the mess our police are in is laid bare. Hampshire and Isle of Wight Constabulary have some serious questions to answer.

At our Belfast event, we saw a familiar example of someone with strong pro-Palestinian views who preferred shouting down opponents to engaging in reasoned debate. As on all controversial issues, the FSU remains impartial. Watch Lord Young and FSU Research Director @DavidRoseUK deliver a masterclass in putting an enemy of free speech back in his box 👇
Here’s my question about free speech for Gazan journalists for @SpeechUnion tonight. I wasn’t allowed to film the answer, which was a bit un-free speechy. If I can précis the answer, it was that it’s complicated and some say some of the journalists weren’t journalists. I know…

More and more people are being cancelled simply for exercising their fundamental right to free speech. It was great to be in Belfast this week meeting members and supporters of the Free Speech Union. The threat to free speech has never been greater. Across the UK and beyond, people are facing growing pressure, professional consequences and social ostracism for expressing lawful opinions. Our work is more important than ever. Watch FSU Northern Ireland Advisory Council member Baroness Hoey (@CatharineHoey) below 👇

I'm still buzzing (recovering) after a fab @SpeechUnion roadshow in Belfast. Meeting their brilliant young team restored my hope for the future. Top tier banter too. Haven't laughed that much in ages. Keep an eye out for @BenBarryJones new book -- it's possibly my fave book ever. @_ConnieShaw @toadmeister

Mark, founder of @OurfightUK, held up a sign calling Hamas terrorists at a Palestine protest. He was arrested and falsely accused of assaulting two emergency workers. Just two days before trial, the CPS suddenly revealed it had been sitting on video footage that cleared him all along – and dropped the case. This is Mark’s story.

📣🚨 FSU MEMBER TESTIMONIAL: Graham Linehan “I wouldn’t have been able to do any of this without the Free Speech Union.” In this week’s instalment of the FSU Member Testimonial series, Graham Linehan speaks about the support he has received from the Free Speech Union. For more than 10 years, Graham has faced abuse and harassment from militant trans activists who have tried to silence him because he does not share their worldview. Last September, Graham was arrested at Heathrow Airport by five armed police officers over three gender-critical posts he had made on X months earlier. He was detained, held in a cell, and later taken to hospital when his blood pressure rose dangerously high. The Crown Prosecution Service announced that it would take no further action against Mr Linehan. On the same day, the Metropolitan Police said it would no longer investigate non-crime hate incidents (NCHIs). After a five-month investigation, the Met has now issued an unreserved apology to Graham. While this is welcome, he should never have been arrested in the first place. The Free Speech Union is proud to have stood by @Glinner throughout this process. Watch Graham Linehan tell his story below — and join the FSU today 👇

Hello Alastair & Rory. This is a daughter to be proud of. Listen to her. Every single word she says blows Grace’s “They are ugly with the worst hair & the worst clothes & the worst views” out of the water! @campbellclaret @RoryStewartUK @RestIsPolitics

LBC radio tonight at 8:30PM!
Pleased to say that this brave student @MaeveHalligan is coming on my show this evening @lbc at 2030 to set out some basic facts. I’m amazed at her courage. The Union has fallen. When I last addressed the @OxfordUnion, Lord Heseltine was kept waiting to speak for hours while people shouted and screamed at each other about procedural arcana until he walked out in disgust, none of the chaos was prevented by the elected officers ie the President, Treasurer and Secretary who were all sectarian pro Palestinian activists. The evening was a total shambles.

Another brilliant contribution from last night’s debate. Serena Worley explaining the uniquely iniquitous impact of gender identity ideology on lesbians’ lives and rights. Incredible courage to speak like this in that environment and at that age
'It is almost impossible to organise lesbian-only events without them being picketed, protested by the LGBTQ ' CUSW's Serena Worley gave a fantastic floor speech last night at the Cambridge Union on the incoherence of an LGBTQ activism that erases and coerces lesbians.

lIf you do anything today, watch @MaeveHalligan at the Cambridge Union. I genuinely think this was the first time many people in that room were confronted with the hard reality of the trans debate, rather than the slogans that usually surround it. @BuckAngel was exceptional: calm, articulate, humane. Ultimate respect. And then there was Helen Webberley. I remember once thinking the criticism directed at her by GC women was excessive, especially the claim she was ‘pure evil’. After hearing her speak, I no longer think that. She is totally insincere. I can deal with hard ideologues- they believe they are telling the truth; they are genuine, @HelenWebberley is different. One audience member, a trans-identified male and former patient of hers, stood to speak during points of information. His account of how he had been treated was deeply disturbing. Watch the full debate. It is worth your time.
