Why you should avoid third-party libraries (when not necessary):

Every dependency can break.
Maintainers vanish, APIs change, updates lag.
Security issues become your issues.
Most libs = 10–20 lines you could write yourself.
You lose control over performance & debugging.

✔ Check maintenance
✔ Understand internals
✔ Pin versions
✔ Keep a fallback
Choose dependencies intentionally, not out of habit.
