If you earned Gold Points, you pick ahead of the expansion teams. If you didn’t, you go after them in the order of the regular season or playoffs. Makes sense to me. (Not sarcasm to be clear)

If I were to guess (not a report), I'd expect we get a Phase 4 recap from the PWHL and the much-awaited draft order at the same time, or very close together.

Not sure if it's a hot take or not, but I don't think it's all that important that we don't know the PWHL draft order right now. If we're going to criticize the league maybe they could have pushed back the off-season or spread it out more, but not this, IMO.

Waiting to see how the competitive balance works itself out is literally why we have a draft... Would it be nice to have a draft order? Sure. Is it catastrophic? No... Rushing into a draft order that ends up being wrong is worse IMO. If it was spread out, it's a moot point.

I think there's actually a pretty simple explanation: If a selection process is triggered in Phase 4, the league will need to use that to adjust the order for the entry draft... Much like last year when Vancouver won the lottery to choose.

This is funny because I can never remember which player is Jake Mangum and which is Jakob Marsee.
This was the play of the game. With the bases loaded, Jake Mangum absolutely robbed by Jakob Marsee.

If you think PWHL teams look thin right now, they won’t be come November. There are probably close to 100 players in the draft who can make rosters in this league.

Tough offseason for Victoire fans without a doubt but they can take solace that one thing no team can take this off-season or any other time is named Walter. Banners fly forever. And don’t count them out just yet.

In my opinion the most important thing to happen for the Montreal Victoire - more than Maltais, Eldridge or even Abby Roque - is retaining free agent Nadia Mattivi. That defence needs someone like her badly.

With Shiann Darkangelo signing in Detroit, the Montreal Victoire can only lose one more player whose rights they hold for next season meaning they are guaranteed to keep Natálie Mlýnková or Jessica DiGirolamo, assuming they gave Mlýnková a qualifying offer. They cannot lose both.

And Mlýnková is the last one.

Wait why the hell did they superimpose the Alouettes logo at the 55 on TV lmao. So tacky.

Montreal Victoire protect Maggie Flaherty, Kati Tabin, and Lina Ljungblom for Phase 4 of the PWHL expansion process.

Defining moment of the Victoire run that goes unnoticed was Murphy’s diving clear in the dying minutes of Game 5 vs Minnesota.
Vegas, we got a good one 🥰   We’ve signed forward Maureen Murphy, inaugural season Hockey for All award winner and 2026 PWHL Walter Cup champion, to a one-year Standard Player Agreement! 🗞️ bit.ly/43RBMyx

In retrospect forcing Carolina to go to their rookie backup goaltender is how they won their last Stanley Cup.
