After receiving public opinions and reaching out to community members privately for testimonies, IPL decided to rescind q’s and my ban. I greatly appreciate IPL for taking another look at the ban. It takes alot of time, effort, and consideration to even take a 2nd look at the decision and reaching out to other community members to come to a new conclusion.
I'm very grateful for every community member who supported/testified on q’s and my personal growth. For me, the general support from the community was very overwhelming to see. I don't think words can describe how much I care about the community and how awful I felt when I betrayed that trust. For the people who have stayed in touch and supported me throughout this past year, thank you. This has probably been one of the harder years in my life at least emotionally, and just knowing I had a few people still there made me want to be better even if at times I had no intention in wanting to comeback to the community. I will not waste this second chance and I will try my hardest to set a good example and continue to let my actions speak rather than my words.
Most people already know why but SQ major will most likely be my last tourney. Originally q and I were unbanned by IPL in December last year, but a few days ago I was messaged basically saying that they changed their minds because some staff and contributors are uncomfortable with working on events that we participate in. We were both rebanned indefinitely and the earliest time when we can both appeal is January of next year, and then whether the ban will remain depends on whether the discomfort is still there. Due to this I feel it is better if I don't play at all as IPL staff and commentators are scattered across tournaments and LAN events. Obviously I'm disheartened because I care a ton about the community and now I'm just not sure what's the proper way to be accepted or for people to feel comfortable around me. This is just from my POV but in the past year I feel I've worked on myself and earned the trust of many players and teams through my actions and behaviors. I understand that's just a small minority of people in the community and I have no idea on how the larger casual viewerbase sees me. For me though waiting until next year is just too long for me to care anymore and it feels personal atp
