Listening to @GadSaad break down Canadian taxes on Sean Hannity… aren’t you just excited to be Canadian??
From January 1st until the end of August, you work for free for the government.
Only starting in September do you finally get to keep what you actually earned.
Provincial tax capped at 25.75%. Federal tax at 33%. Already deep into the 50s before you even spend a dollar.
Then add the double sales tax, carbon tax, gas tax, property tax, and school tax — and you’re left with roughly 30 cents on every dollar you make.
This isn’t “contributing to society.” This is modern serfdom dressed up as compassion.
The same government that wastes billions on ArrivScam, failed apps, and fax machine replacement programs now expects you to hand over eight months of your life every single year.
And they still have the nerve to tell you there’s no money left for actual Canadians.
Wake up. This didn’t happen by accident.

the people yelling "democracy" the loudest are usually the ones that are trying to take away peoples voice.
whether you agree or not, people are allowed an opinion and should have the ability to voice that opinion.
It is profoundly disturbing to watch you and your party advocate for silencing citizens who participated in a lawful democratic process simply because you disagree with the issue being raised.
It is literally your job to listen to citizens, especially when they are using the very democratic processes established by law to have their voices heard.
This is not even about debating the pros and cons of independence. This is about an organized effort by elected officials to silence citizens from participating in a lawful democratic process, and that should concern everyone.
You do not have to support independence to recognize how dangerous that is. Once governments, political actors, and courts begin deciding which citizen-led issues are acceptable to discuss, democratic participation stops being a right and becomes a permission granted by those in power.
Today it is this petition. Tomorrow it could be any issue the political class finds inconvenient.
Citizens do not hold institutional power. Their voice is their power. And when lawful democratic processes are undermined to prevent citizens from even being heard, public trust in democracy itself begins to collapse.

BREAKING: A Presidential permit has been approved for a new bitumen pipeline that will initially deliver more than half a million barrels per day of Alberta oil to facilities and refineries throughout the United States. This project is a joint venture between two great Canadian and US companies South Bow and Bridger using existing assets.
After years of advocacy from our government, and following the signing of the Canada-Alberta Energy Agreement last year, the federal government has lifted their oil and gas production cap. This means Alberta producers will be able to produce more of the oil that the world needs. It’s incredible to see that work already paying off with announcements like this.
The US is our most important trading partner and we will continue to deliver energy to help secure North American energy dominance.

Ministers would be able to temporarily exempt any individual, company, organization, or entity from the application of almost any provision of any federal law (or regulations made under those laws) that the minister is responsible for administering or enforcing, with the sole exception of the Criminal Code
They can themselves, and deem anyone they choose exempt from ALL laws. The only exception is the criminal code
He says you can trust them because “Canadians expect us to act reasonably”
