MASTERS OF THE UNIVERSE was a lot of fun. Nicholas Galitzine is perfect as He-Man, and the whole movie looks like the cartoon brought to life!

Your mother is problematic. Your father is problematic. Your son is problematic. Your aunt is problematic. The cashier at the local Tesco is problematic. You've probably bought a cookie from a bakery made by hands that have done unspeakable things. Every chocolate bar you've ever eaten has probably killed a 7 year old child slave in Cameroon. The gas that drives your car is fueled by engines of death. Every person who has ever smiled at you in the streets has committed some act that if you knew about it, would make you profoundly dislike them. We have all been bad, small, petty, unlikeable, cruel, downright mean. Authors are not special "problematic" beings, they're just more public. Part of being an adult is recognizing that without mercy for our fellow human beings, and ourselves, we'd all be condemned to death. Reading fiction should help us understand that we're all irreparably tainted with evil, every system is corrupted, every line is broken. And like, that's okay. That's what it means to be alive.

Last month, I saw the horrorcore rap of the Insane Clown Posse (@icp). Tonight, the gospel sounds of Kirk Franklin (@kirkfranklin). Both, while extremely different, are artists I wanted to see for a long time. Adding that yang to my yin!

When leaders and members from both political parties mock death and refuse to act humane because "But look at what they said!" we all lose. Both parties are being guided by cruelty and hypocrisy from its leaders to its loudest members. Many of us are looking for another choice.

Honest question: If this was staged, how do you get someone who thinks you're evil to do something evil to help you do more of what that person thinks is evil? Someone needs to make that movie! ALL THE PRESIDENT'S MENTALISTS

"Why would you see a movie about someone with those kinds of allegations against him?" You mean the allegations that are unproven, contradict what is proven, made by people whose parents were reported to police for pushing their kids on other celebs? I think I'll see it again!

The @michaelmovie was so fun! That warm feeling when a room explodes in applause at the end of a movie is so rare and wonderful. (The one negative review I let myself read literally lied about a scene to justify their inability to have fun.) So, what are you waiting for? Shamon!
