I won't lie, I think about Herbert Wigwe almost every day. For one, I followed his home building project, and was inspired by the meticulousness of the design as well as materials used -- a lot of which were imported. I also followed his proposed University project. This man was a billionaire with taste. Every step, every project, every thing just felt intentional. Literally anytime I read an update about him, I'll just be letting out, "omo...omooo." I don't rate many people with money, but Wigwe understood how money moved and it showed in his whole branding and personality. But see the way he died. I've still not let it go, almost like I'm a family member. How can a man of that calibre die suddenly, without warning? Just like that. Permit me, but it would have been more bearable if his death came after a prolonged sickness. But just like that! And everyone just moved on. I don't even consider myself too religious, but bro, remember God in your hustles. Follow the Pascal Wager, "if God isn't real, you have nothing to lose, if he is, you have everything to gain." Happy Sunday.

"For bodily exercise profiteth little: but godliness is profitable unto all things, having promise of the life that now is, and of that which is to come." - 1 Timothy 4:8.
Instead of going to church, use that time to build your body. πŸ§πŸ½β€β™‚οΈ

This is what will happen to me the day I decide to try these unnecessary adventures. I know my village people. "This rope always worked o"
HORRIFIC FOOTAGE: A 21-year-old woman was pushed off a 40-meter bridge in Limeira, Brazil by bungee jump workers who failed to attach her safety rope. She died from the fall.

"Terrible" is an understatement. These days, when a couple gets married, give it 6 months and recheck their IG pages, you'll realize they pulled their wedding pictures. But beyond that sef, many of these "marry first" crooners are actually the worst hit, because they KNOW they've made wrong decisions but instead of admitting it, they become defensive. I say my car tyre dey flat, you dey ask me whether I be mechanic. Do I need to be a mechanic to dissect an objectively terrible situation?
Let me even clear up this "marry first" nonsense. Many of you are in terrible marriages. There is nothing supernatural about you being married. We didn't start meeting and talking to married people on Twitter. A bad marriage is still a marital experience. Married people do not have same opinion on issues. If what you're saying doesn't make sense, it doesn't make sense. Whether you're married or not is irrelevant. Your own marriage is exactly what YOU make if it. It is not the reflection of all marriages.

Here's the thing: your biggest dreams may not come true. But if peradventure they do come true, what you will feel is a short-lived sense of fulfilment that is soon replaced by another dream. The cycle does not end until you die. Thus, always remind yourself that what you have now, you once wanted with all your might and be grateful in that.
The first day you get 100 organic followers, excitement go wan wound you, after 4 days, you wonder why 200 followers is taking so much time to get. First day you lock in 1000 followers, it will be like a dream, then again, you wonder how you can double it. Before you know, you see 5000 followers, then you start refreshing your page to see when it will get to like 5030. You see, expectations are part of life but don't underrate where you are now because it was once your dream. As with X, so with life.

A few years back, I walked into a store at ICM to get a nice corporate bag. "How much is it?", I inquired. "#1.2m sir," they answered. Omo pure leather, I felt and caressed it. I remember thinking, I'll really turn heads with this o. Told them, "nah, this is above my budget for a bag" and left. A few hours later, I lost about $4k trying to chase a meme stock. If I remember some kain many rubbish losses where I should have spoiled myself instead, I go just dey regret. But, we live, we learn.
E get the kind money wey you go lose wey go remind you to spend your money.

Chowdeck is great but Glovo is more suited for the market. Trivial example: I can't pay on delivery on Chowdeck, but I can on Glovo. So regardless of how cheap items on Chowdeck are, my "trust sense" makes me opt for Glovo for purchases <= 10k.

no one knew when I left a $500k job on a whim. no one knew when I started my company and was grinding nonstop. no one knew when I onboarded my first 3 enterprise clients. no one knew when i relocated to east Africa to lock in. no one knew because the above never happened.

This handle is the archetype of a saying by a certain wise man: "your head, na breeze full am." APC closeted supporters are funny. I mean, if I don't think a candidate is relevant, I won't spend a second talking about them. Go through my timeline, you won't find anything about Atiku therein, because I know that Baba is probably winning only Adamawa. But you see this air-headed idiot, only 'cunny' aspersions liter her timeline, forming neutral. Nothing of substance. Breeze. Air. Maybe small sawdust.

If you had invested 800k in Nvidia stock in 2021, you'll have 40m today. But you used the money to pay house rent. How will you become Elon Musk bro?

A good person is known by their suggestions on helping those at the bottom of the ladder rise to the top by reducing their burdens, creating jobs, etc. A bad person is known by their suggestions on bringing down those at the top by pretending to care for those at the bottom.
Elon Musk just became the world's first trillionaire. This needs to be a wake up call.

Sometimes, you'll remember your experiences working in corporate Big Tech and just start laughing. I remember after being laid off at Microsoft, I remembered I was in great talking terms with my manager's boss, so I reached out to him on WhatsApp you know like, "...in case you see another opening, do let me know...I can contribute in x, y, z". He was a GM. Big boy na, so I was expectant. He went, "for sure Johnmark, sorry about that, I'll be on the look out" It was a few weeks later I realized both he and his boss who was a VP were also laid off. 😭 Who wan epp me? πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚
