PSA to the player who is grinding and trying to do everything “right”… on & off the field and you think it goes unnoticed & unrewarded… you WILL end up where you are suppose to. Just keep doing it and remember each path is unique to the player. Your moment is coming!

I waited back in 2015.
It sucked and was uncomfortable and I wanted to play softball but knew my rights and hoped it would push the needle forward a bit.
I remember getting heat from older players and that part hurt the most. Need some more support in this area within our game
If I (and everyone that paved the way for me) waited for what I believed was “a fair and equitable contract”….there wouldn’t be pro softball 🤷🏼♀️

The former Texas Tech star is the only AUSL draftee to have not signed with the league yet, though her team played Tuesday.

So then it’s not actually that simple is it. As you don’t know what’s taking place in the negotiations. There are other things to negotiate outside of money but everyone is so quick to make assumptions that it seems that part is forgotten.

I’m confused by those that claim to want more pay equity & equality for women in sports but then get mad at a player whom is trying to do just that. Especially when the “big” contract in sports often sets a new/greater standard for everyone else to be paid.
