hella truth - every founder i talk to in recent times can benefit from @thesamparr 's CopyThat copythat.com/
writing good copy sells. it's as simple as that. way too much talked about the 10x engineer. way too little talked about the 10x copywriter. and i'm saying that as someone who went to computer science school. people think code makes startups, increasingly copy does.

I'm a huge protein nerd and the impact it has on health, not obsessed with 100g daily animal on account of how difficult that actually is, looking forward to chatting at Edge City @jwmares - picture below "Pine Manor" wings, great stuff

Pple frequently ask why i prefer a heart rate chest monitor to a wrist watch - many ways to answer but looking at this graph - accuracy tops big on my list - this clear set of inervals would be muddy on a wrist monitor

Always amazed by the thoughtful density of @FoundersPodcast - listened to session on Sam Zell while 'cardio-ing'. Sam Zell - do what you like - the greatest luxury is a private jet - i don’t look back, just forward - would only focus on cash flow cause there is where value happens - bought properties that others thought to be dead - hated excessive competition, preferred monopoly or oligopoly - would leave industry area when margin started to erode - be comfortable with your opinion of self, other meh… - money talks, bs walks how could I have never heard of him? gives me confidence in my own seemingly self-destructive focus on personal independence and brutally direct feedback

Is there such thing as a litmus strip for caffeine? I love my cold brew, but they're not all the same ...

Llms, self driving, crispr, spacewalks - a truly amazing time to be alive
Ubiquitous self driving is going to happen faster then everyone expects. As usual it happened slowly, faked everyone into normalizing it, and then it will feel like a whirlwind.

Craving the intersection of Whiskey, Jazz & Entrepreneurship? Join me and the Austin based Barrel Aged Notes Social Club for our Maiden Voyage. On the evening of November 6, Barrel Aged Notes will host a guided whiskey tasting on the backdrop of classic American Jazz. If you are involved in entrepreneurship, enjoy connection with other risk tolerant professionals and would appreciate learning about why some whiskey has both malted and unmalted barley then join us for an unforgettable evening of learning, relaxing and community. We’ll be hosting this event in a private clubhouse in Old West Austin, not to far away from Betterhalf/Holdout, we’ll provide light snacks. We encourage participants to bring a bottle of their favorite for sharing (we’ll provide for the tasting and then some). We guarantee an evening of relaxation, great jazz and some barrel aged delight. Click the link to rsvp, see you in November! lu.ma/b4zp8w52 cc: @thesamparr @nickgraynews @seobrien

Some days entrepreneurship feels like the world's weight on top of my shoulders. Some days, I'm light as a feather, skipping on clouds. Guess which one today is. 🐘 I show up. I do everything I can to move biz forward. Tomorrow will feel different. I will still show up.

Excited to share my article on Lenny’s Newsletter: A PM's guide to influence! 🚀 Influence is a vital skill, but actionable advice on how to develop it is rare. That’s why I’m sharing key strategies that helped me improve my ability to influence. Let me know your thoughts! lennysnewsletter.com/p/a-pms…
A PM’s guide to influence by @julesdwalt Five proven tactics to align stakeholders so decisions go your way: 1. Seek intel on how each stakeholder makes decisions 2. Frame your message from their POV (not yours) 3. Prime detractors and champions alike in the “meeting before the meeting” 4. Make people feel heard and validated 5. Manage the clock Don't miss this one: lennysnewsletter.com/p/a-pms…

"Your event copy sounds fantastic! It captures the essence of whiskey, jazz, and entrepreneurship beautifully" Does this mean my copy is getting good or did someone pay the LLM to float my boat?

Trader Joe's - a true testament to marketing excellence is the fact that the stores continue to be packed and are basically unchanged for over 20 years - Also amazing is the variability in quality of the stores. The one in Bend Oregon is kind of gross and the one in Austin in Westlake area is pretty amazing.

It is also an incredible example of medium scale, vertical integration - for example when you go into a Walmart grocery store, it looks like every other grocery store in existence because it's selling all the same stuff so actually creating and unique experience becomes very difficult. Not so a Trader Joe's.
