$2M for a private music venue or $2M to fix our roads? That is the vote on Monday. I am proposing to spend it on fixing our roads. This is about priorities; the music venue will happen w/o taxpayer $.
NEW: Roivant Sciences, the biotech company founded by Republican Ohio governor nominee Vivek Ramaswamy, paid lobbyists $70,000 in 2020 and 2021 to press the White House, NIH, and Congress on Covid-19 drug development and approval — the same period Ramaswamy now attacks Democrat Amy Acton for spreading "Covid ideology." ALT Vivek Ramaswamy's company spent $70K lobbying Washington on Covid-19 drugs. He's now campaigning against 'Covid ideology.'
We have to tackle graffiti. Our focus should be on those doing the damage vs penalizing the victim. ⬇️will be voted on Tuesday. It (1) ensure a building owner that is being tagged does not have to pay the thousands of dollars to fix it (2) Supports enforcement via camera/drones
(3) Create a “Taggers Restore It” ordinance - requiring taggers to remove graffiti as part of sentence. That is no different than if my kids did graffiti on someone else’s property. I would require them to remove it.
We need to tackle graffiti removal. These are the right steps
BREAKING: In a stunning moment, the lawyer who defended Ken Paxton during his impeachment trials just announced he is endorsing James Talarico. This is huge.
Another great Canoes & Conversations event with @MillCreekAlli
Had a great time fishing with folks from the neighborhood - no I did not catch anything but there were a lot of sightings of fish farther upstream
Great engagement last night at the Bond Hill Community Council including around childhood lead poisoning, housing, street takeovers & the impact of trees on sidewalks.
Shoutout to the Bond Hill Community Council for having me at their monthly meeting this evening. Great conversations with residents about topics from housing to the City’s budget process.
It was a privilege to join the City of Newport in re-opening the Purple People Bridge this morning. The bridge has been closed to make long-term repairs and is now open again days ahead of schedule to serve as a regional asset for over 2,00 people daily. @PurplePeopleBri
Thank you to my colleagues for your support of this today! With a street takeover last night at Paycor Stadium, the timing of this new measure to impound cars for 6 months is needed before someone gets killed in Cincinnati
Members of Cincinnati's Public Safety Committee voted today to implement more severe penalties for street takeovers. Following a full vote in Council tomorrow, CPD can impound offender's cars for 6 months and impose fines of $1,250 for the first offense.
Smale Park is the beautiful front porch of Cincinnati with interactive features, greenspace, and local history. Come with me to check out some of my favorites and learn more about the 2nd best riverwalk in the United States! #Cincinnati
Cincinnati has already made great improvements to the riverfront by turning a surface parking lot to a world class park. We have another opportunity with the new Banks Master Plan to expand Smale Park and bring more green space and vibrancy to our downtown. #Cincinnati
Our riverfront used to be a massive parking lot. Now most of it is Smale Park. With the Banks plan, we have an opportunity to push that green space even further to the Brent Spence Bridge. We need to make that happen!

Thank you to all the Dept of Public Works employees who worked on clearing the snow this past winter. I appreciated the opportunity to say a few words at an appreciation breakfast to the workers this morning.
Q1 Gross Domestic Product #s show what's wrong with our economy. Worker compensation (wages/benefits) grew 0.8% vs Q4 2025 while corporate profits grew 2.7% - 3x faster. Stock investors might be excited, but most people are anxious. It's clear why....

Labor's share of gross domestic income (51%) dropped to the lowest level since records began in 1947. Profits' share (12.1%) climbed to the highest since 1950. This growing chasm is not only unhealthy and wrong, it's unsustainable. Workers need to benefit from growth.
Street takeovers are disruptive to neighbors, get people killed & must be stopped.
Tomorrow, I will introduce an ordinance that will put a stop to them in Cincinnati. It means
- Impounding a car for 6 months;
- Fines of $1,250 for the first offense; $2,500 for the second offense
In March 2026, ~100 vehicles organized in Cincinnati for a street takeover. 85% of the cars involved were from outside of Cincinnati. We were a destination for this crime.
No more. Come to Cincinnati for this crime & you will lose your car for 6 months.
