It’s fiscally irresponsible and morally reprehensible to defund important services in our communities in order to fund the wealthy few. The people of Wisconsin deserve better than this.

Our advocacy made an impact: the JFC proposed $125 million in the state budget, but this is just a start.
We still have to pass legislation so this funding can be distributed to communities equitably, efficiently, and effectively.

This investment, if approved, will mark a huge change from Republicans, who have repeatedly shot down legislation to address PFAS.
During the last budget, they removed all but one measure regarding the chemicals from the budget.
