Having just submitted a truly multidisciplinary funding proposal, I would have to agree. Especially if the disciplines span science and law and want to first figure out how we identify and understand a problem rather than jumping head-first into solution mode.

This type of work is crucially needed, esp to tackle the challenges posed by digital administration. Yet the funding landscape in Canada offers few sustainable opportunities and faculties are shy to robustly support this work, despite its promise of high rewards.
