There is no fallacy more destructive than the idea that prices naturally increase over time. All prices should fall if the economy is more productive. Indefinitely. It is literally only because trillions of dollars are counterfeited from nothing every year, and our time, living standards, home affordability, and critical resources get sucked out of the economy to pay for it that things get more expensive. It is explicitly unnatural and it’s explicitly because we have fake money and a communist central bank at the lowest layer of our economic system.

A pregnant Muslim woman was kicked in the stomach in a Co-op car park in Milton Keynes. He called her the “f***ing problem with this place,” attacked her “clown clothes”. Hit her with a wine bottle and bag of ice. Kicked her in the stomach twice after she told him she was pregnant She lost her unborn twins. The judge called her attacker a “shabby racist.” A ‘SHABBY’ racist. Not a TERRORIST. Not a MONSTER. He served under 2 years. He’s been walking free since 2020. Samsam Haji-Ali’s twins are still dead. If he’d been Muslim, this would have led every news bulletin as a terror attack. Thirty worshippers were inside the Zainabia Islamic Centre when a petrol bomb was thrown onto the roof. They put out the fire themselves. These attacks didn’t all happen this week. They happened years apart. That’s the point. People forgot. Our system doesn’t. The Women and Equalities Committee’s first-ever inquiry into gendered Islamophobia, published January 2026 (HC 571), documented over 6,000 verified incidents in 2024 — a 165% rise since 2022. 73% of assaults came after the summer riots. 65% targeted women and girls. The Muslim Women’s Network UK surveyed women before and after the riots. Before — 16% feared for their safety. After — 75%. Home Office figures show anti-Muslim hate crimes rose 19% last year. Muslims are the target of 44% of all religious hate crimes. Only 6% result in charges. The government’s Hate Crime Action Plan expired in 2020. No replacement has been published in six years. They let 3 women dressed in burqas strip off to the chants of “take it off” They let hate marches happen across the UK. Anti Islam murals across Northern Ireland. They proscribed Palestine Action as terrorists. And they still refuse to use the word Islamophobia. The system is broken. Every attack in this post is being mapped. Mosques, streets, workplaces. You reduce crime by eliminating poverty. The actual reason so called nice neighborhoods have lower crime rates is because people’s basic needs are being met. It is not because of police, alarm systems, or neighborhood associations. Poverty creates crime.

That is because of the interest-based system that compounds in monetary value decrease every year. To off-set that SOMEONE needs to increase productivity. That some is the working class. So the wealthiest do not lose their money and rather see returns. That is due to INTEREST.
ONE thing about capitalism is that every year, through technological advancements WORKERS produce more in the same amount of time, yet none of this has ever translated into REDUCED working hours, improved labor conditions, or increased leisure time.

A father and his young daughter lie dying having been hit with a precision missile (US made) by Israel. The ambulance crew arrives to try help. Israel then hits them with a missile. All on camera. Proven. War crimes. Yet our leaders still arm them & support them. Why?
An Israeli strike captured on camera has killed three paramedics in Lebanon. Just 12 hours earlier, four other medics were killed. Sky's @AlexCrawfordSky reports trib.al/B9TiHnU

You start reading weird books. You buy “The Bitcoin Standard” and then “The Fiat Standard” and then you accidentally end up reading Murray Rothbard, and then somehow you’re reading Mises, and then it’s 11:47 PM on a Tuesday and you’re 340 pages into “Human Action” and you’re highlighting passages about praxeology and your wife comes downstairs and asks if you’re coming to bed and you say “in a minute” but you don’t come to bed for two hours because you have just discovered that everything you were taught about economics in college was wrong, all of it, every single sentence, and now you can’t go back, you can never go back, you have been orange-pilled in a way that goes deeper than money, you have been epistemologically orange-pilled, you now believe that John Maynard Keynes was a charlatan and the gold standard was actually fine and the income tax is theft and you can never say any of this out loud at a dinner party ever again.

I don’t know if anyone will care about what I am saying, but the outside world must know exactly what is happening here… not later, but now. What we are experiencing in Gaza has gone beyond the limits of human endurance. The camps have turned into a terrifying hotspot for the spread of diseases. With the beginning of summer and thousands of families crowded into extremely tight spaces next to garbage dumps, illness is spreading rapidly, as if it has become part of daily life. There is also an incomprehensible media silence regarding the scale of this growing health catastrophe, despite repeated warnings from medical teams and field workers. Skin diseases, infections, and contagious illnesses are spreading widely, especially among children, in an environment that lacks the most basic conditions of hygiene or treatment. Rats are everywhere between the tents, insects are spreading heavily and causing continuous injuries, and there are no means of control such as poisons or pesticides. My nieces are part of this reality… their bodies are covered in painful bites that worsen every day without effective treatment. The situation is collapsing with no real solutions. Medicines are scarce, disinfectants are almost nonexistent, and unsafe water is contributing directly to the spread of disease, while the healthcare system is beyond its capacity. As of now, cases are estimated at around 160,000 people and still increasing, most of them children. This is not an exaggeration… it is a complete health collapse inside the camps.

What if the biggest “win” for families in the last 50 years was actually a trap? Rory Sutherland dropped this on Alex O’Connor’s podcast: The two-income household started as a nice option. Both partners work, more money comes in. Feels great at first. Then reality shifted. Governments got double the tax. Existing homeowners watched their property values soar. House prices rose to match two salaries. Suddenly one income wasn’t enough anymore — even for high-earning singles like consultant surgeons. Families traded ~35 hours of free time per week for only modest gains in lifestyle. What began as freedom quietly became an obligation. And it left single people and parents who want to raise their own kids at a real disadvantage. This one stings because we sold it as pure progress. Personally, it makes me question how many modern “upgrades” we’ve normalized without counting the real cost — especially lost time with family. What’s something you once thought was clear progress that now feels like it came with a heavier price than we admitted?

Imagine a 19-year-old scrolling TikTok. She watches a creator list five "signs you have undiagnosed anxiety." She recognizes three in herself. By the end of the week, she's describing herself as anxious to her friends. A month later, she's avoiding situations she used to handle fine. What went wrong? In a new paper by my PhD student Dasha Sandra, titled "Why mental health awareness can harm: Converging explanations for a societal problem", we argue that well-meaning mental health awareness can backfire, and we identify how. Four separate literatures (concept creep, nocebo effects, prevalence inflation, and illness self-labeling) have been circling the same problem from different angles. We show they converge on three mechanisms: 1.Awareness lowers the threshold for what counts as a disorder. 2. It trains people to scan their inner lives for symptoms and reinterpret normal distress as pathology. 3. Once someone adopts an illness identity, they behave in ways that confirm and deepen it. The evidence is wide. Learning that loneliness is harmful makes solitude feel worse. Learning that stress is harmful worsens well-being and performance. Awareness videos about fake conditions like "wind turbine syndrome" produce real headaches. Trigger warnings raise anticipatory anxiety without reducing distress. This does not mean awareness should stop. It means awareness can have unintended consequences, including manufacturing the suffering it tries to prevent. Inoculating people against these mechanisms works, and we already have evidence it does. Link to paper: michael-inzlicht.squarespace…

New UK screen time rules just dropped — and they’re stricter than most parents expected. From 27 March 2026, England says: zero solo screens for under-2s (except quick video calls with family), and max one hour a day for 2–5 year olds — no screens at meals or the hour before bed. Co-view everything, stick to slow-paced content, and ditch fast social-media clips and AI toys completely. The science is sobering: toddlers’ brains process info up to 10 times slower than adults. Fast-paced screens push them into fight-or-flight mode — racing heart, surging energy — while they’re sitting still. Researchers at the University of East London say this mismatch can wire kids for more tantrums and emotional struggles later. Using screens to calm meltdowns? It often backfires long-term. As a parent, it’s brutal — we all know that explosion the second you take the tablet away. But this feels like evidence finally catching up with what our gut has been telling us. How are you handling screens with little ones — strict limits, co-viewing, or mostly winging it?
