Sometimes the role/position you give a player is massive. He’s always been at his best as a free LW type. Having options to roam inside but also get wide and expose 1v1.

He’s not wrong. But also club football and international football are not the same. You’ll see better matches late in the tourney bc 1) the teams are stronger 2) they have more matches together and more time together to improve tactically. Asking that that match 1 is silly
