Also, @SouthHuron has done plenty of work on introducing a meaningful land acknowledgment that includes some education on their website, yet refuse to fly the Pride flag. Seems like picking and choosing, which isn’t what anti-oppression work is about. Make space for everyone

Pretty disappointed to hear that @SouthHuron actively decided to reinforce the stereotypes others have about rural small towns-that they are not a safe place for everyone, that they are stuck in the past - by suggesting that not flying Pride flags represents the views of all 🏳️🌈

Not 100% sure how it works, but additional @netflix subscriptions for the cottage and my daughter who is away at school for long periods at a time aren't going to fly. No great loss to cancel, rather than be hamstrung by an out of touch streaming service for more $$$.

I used to keep kids in at recess for not completing homework. I now realize they didn't do the homework, not because they didn't want to, but because they didn't know how to and had no one to ask.
The problem with homework: It highlights inequalities.
