Excellent new piece from @MeganPfiffer defending a rights-based approach to judicial review!
I'm incredibly humbled to see the second paper from my doctoral dissertation @UofTLaw in print in the Modern Law Review.

My UTLJ article "Judicial Review as a Quasi-Administrative Jurisdiction" is now available online! I argue recent shifts in Canadian admin law suggest judicial review is a multilateral, collaborative and prospective practice that incorporates judicial and administrative functions.

Check out my review of @AileenFKavanagh’s book The Collaborative Constitution in the latest issue of Public Law!
Thanks to @jfmur1 @UCNPProject for an insightful review of The Collaborative Constitution @PL_PublicLaw. ‘Kavanagh’s fascinating book offers a coherent theoretical approach for anyone looking to explain complex inter-institutional dynamics’ incl ‘unwritten practices & norms’.

Delighted that my book review of @AileenFKavanagh’s Collaborative Constitution, published in @PL_PublicLaw is now available on Westlaw. The review highlights Kavanagh’s engagements with unwritten norms, the principle of legality, and the rule of law.

Really enjoyed the symposium today on this book - particularly the discussion on methodology and the role of academics in making prescriptive or normative arguments vs. descriptive or evaluative methods.
We are thrilled to be hosting @AileenFKavanagh book launch symposium, 'The Collaborative Constitution' on Monday 15th January from 15.30 with @MurrayHunt_, @vanessa_macd, @Prof_Phillipson, Dieter Grimm, Lord Sales & @calibasak More info here: law.ox.ac.uk/content/event/b

The Rwanda Bill is published. Here's the part enacting a legal fiction, requiring decision-makers to treat a - dangerous - falsehood as true. Parliament should not pass this. It would be an abuse of its legislative authority. assets.publishing.service.go

Happy also that the court rejected the contention that deference should be given based on the fact this situation is “analogous” to national security.

Delighted and relieved to hear Lord Reed deliver the unanimous UK Supreme Court judgment upholding the Court of Appeal judgment that the Rwanda policy is unlawful. Highlighting the body of applicable domestic and int provisions, which are not limited to the ECHR/HRA.
