In the past decade, enrollment is down in 85 of the 100 largest public school districts in the US. Chart below shows some of the steepest declines. Demographics, school choice programs & other factors are contributing to this & it is an opportunity as well as a huge challenge.

So this seems a helpful chart given the concerns about immigration. For about half a century, we experienced an annual immigration at a rate of ~13-15% of the population and it didn't destroy our country.

It has been over 3 months since I last posted here & I continue to view the platform w/ great ambivalence b/c of, well, the owner, yet I miss the connections I had here. LinkedIn is good for postings of more substance but X is easier for some things so I'm tiptoeing back in.
