A friend to many (including me), former @MMULancers coach and athlete Albert Fernandez passed away Saturday after a long battle with cancer.

It would be awesome but it won't beat the first NIT title....that was special. I think it's my favorite Coyote sports moment of all time. There's a pretty tight top 5 list though...lol.

This is a culture issue. Athletic departments that promote multi-sport athletes lead to student athletes developing a stronger sense of community/shared identity. Kids should have a favorite sport they loveโฆ but go compete for your school-wherever you can.

The Redfield Invitational! (In 15 years, the two times I covered a State B game - with tourneys in 3 locations, paper had to choose what to cover - I stayed in Redfield). Treated very well in Aberdeen, but very inconvenient

If they had the hotel space, I'd be all for it. My reporter headed to the B this week is staying in Redfield.
I've never had a problem with how I was treated in Aberdeen, just finding a place to stay there.

The Crofton girls lost to Hamlin 59-56 in overtime today in the Madison (SD) Classic.
With a loss to Brandon Valley on Tuesday, it marks the first time the Warriors have had back-to-back losses since the 2022 state tourney, and the first bk-2-bk regular season losses since 2018.

Any person saying that Public Broadcasting should lose its funding should be locked in a room and required to watch it until their IQ is above 80.
